4th EU-LAC Joint Call with a topic on Personalised Medicine

As an outcome of the EU funded bi-regional ERANet-LAC project (2013-2017), the EU-LAC Interest Group (IG) was established: A group of funding agencies from LAC, EU Member States and Associated Countries wishing to cooperate in bi-regional science, technology and innovation (STI) collaboration.

The members of the EU-LAC IG will launch the 4th Joint Call on the 24th of January 2022. The final submission date will be 28th of April 2022 at 5 PM CEST. All the call documents and the information will be available at: https://www.eucelac-platform.eu/joint-actions.

The call will include four topics based on sharing large Research Infrastructures, namely in the areas of Global Challenges, Health, Biodiversity, and Energy. There will be an specific topic on Personalised Medicine included in the Area of Health.

European Biomedical Research Infrastructures’ resources for Researchers in Neurosciences

The ERA-Net NEURON has organised a 2-days webinar that will address the different resources that several European Biomedical Research Infrastructures, such as ELIXIR, EBRAINS and INFRAFRONTIER, can offer to the researchers in Neurosciences.

EU-AFRICA PerMed – ONLINE INFORMATION DAYS

The EU-Africa PerMed project funded by the European Commission’s H2020 framework programme seeks to develop international collaborations and identifying future actions in personalised medicine to be established between Africa and Europe. The objective is to build a lasting relationship between these two continents in terms of research, development, innovation and implementation for a better integration of the African needs in the international agenda for personalised medicine.

During two dedicated information days, one in English and one in French language, the EU-Africa PerMed project, its objectives, planned activities and expected results will be presented. The information days are thought of as a warm-up events prior to the 1st stakeholder workshop that will take place in Kenya on the 9th and 10th of February 2022.

Together with the presentation of the EU-Africa PerMed project, there will be a talk by the European Commission, Directorate-General of Research and Innovation, as funder of the project, and a short presentation of the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed).

Two 1-hour sessions are planned:

  • 1st December 2021 at 11:00 am (CET) – in English
  • 13th December 2021 at 11:00 am (CET) – in French
